A Cow
A Bull

Cattle are large, docile, domesticated animals common throughout High Rock, Hammerfell, and Skyrim, especially on farms, where they primarily eat hay. Females are known as cows while males are known as bulls. A bull that is raised as a beast of burden is known as an ox. Cows from Skyrim are also called highland aurochs, and are used for their meat,[1] dairy,[2] and hide.[3] In Skyrim, they are sometimes given to Giants by local farmers as an offering.

Bulls in particular hold a lot of cultural importance. In Tamrielic folklore traditions, a bull's ossified member is considered as a charm for good fortune and can be found across Tamriel.[4] To the Ra Gada, the symbol of a winged bull was considered to be important enough to placed in their tombs.[5] The aforementioned symbol is also seen in the Adabal-a, where Morihaus is referred to as a winged bull. Among the Reachmen, the Bull-Heart Warriors use their skulls in rituals,[6] while the Dreadhorn Clan considered the bull to be their emblem after beginning their alliance with the Minotaurs and embellished their belongings with bull symbolism.[7]
