Sword's Rest Isle is an island located off the coast of Daggerfall, under the government of the province of the High Rock. During the rule of High King Emeric in Second Era it served as a getaway for the monarch whenever he wanted to escape the daily pressures of running the Daggerfall Covenant alliance. Lion Guard unit was stationed on the island to provide protection. It contains a luxurious complex of facilities designed to ensure the comfort of the monarch during their stay on the island.[1][2][3] King's chambers were additionally protected by magical wards.[4]

History[edit]

During the Interregnum in 2E 582, the isle was infiltrated by the members of the anti-monarchist faction Ascendant Order who conspired against the leaders of the alliances, including king Emeric.[5] They attempted to assassinate the king during his stay on the island. Their efforts were stopped by Arabelle Davaux and Jakarn of the Society of the Steadfast aided by the Vestige, who killed the Ascendant Order Champion and her subordinates before they could reach the monarch.[6]
