Previous Kalpa[edit]

I have read and heard in many places that the Redguards and the Hist are from a previous Kalpa, and that the Redguards did it by somehow moving sideways across time, but where is the evidence for this? Is it purely speculation? If so, does it have strong evidence? Thebusdriver (talk) 03:20, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

What is affected by the Kalpa cycle?[edit]

Also, is the entire Aurbis and beyond affected by the Kalpa cycle or just Mundus? Thebusdriver (talk) 03:36, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

We don't really know, but as Mundus is the only realm bound by time (according to Haskill, Fa-Nuit-Hen and others) it is likely that Kalpas only affect it aswell. The Yokudan equivalent, the shedding of the Worldskin, is implied to affect the entire Aurbis; but the gods are able to avoid it through the Walkabout. The out of game work "On Boethiah's Summoning Day" implies that the status and roles of the Aedra and Daedra are affected by Kalpas, but it doesn't really add up with "official" lore. Molag Bal had an "aspect" of him, the Ruddy Man, ruling Nirn and being worshipped by the Dreugh in a previous Kalpa, so it's pretty safe to say that he was a Daedric Prince even at that point.
