Rename to Nightingales[edit]

The name Nightingales has become the most used and most recongnizable ways to call them. It should take priority over Nightingale trinity because of that reason.Zebendal (talk) 04:34, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Jagar Tharn and the "Nightingale"[edit]

The majority, if not all, of the articles pertaining to both Jagar Tharn and the "Nightingale" who stole the Staff of Chaos assert that Tharn was a Nightingale solely on the account of Plitinius Mero's "The Real Barenziah", which is a highly dubious source with much reason to doubt (Imperial propaganda excusing Barenziah of potential cooperation with Tharn). We have much more concrete evidence for the identity of the "Nightingale" being Drayven Indoril, as stated by Gallus Disedenius who had direct contact with the former's daughter and granddaughter, Dralsi and Karliah. Further edits should take this into consideration. — Unsigned comment by Serevus (talkcontribs) at 18:17 on 15 July 2020‎

So the thing is The Real Barenziah being a dubious source is actually contradicted by Barenziah herself, who endorses him in her dialogue in tes 3 as someone who can be trusted. Furthermore he was said to be the personal scribe of Barenziah for a time and that his writings of the real Barenziah come from this time as her scribe. So quite literally speaking, Real Barenziah is taken from a first hand account. -dcking20 — Unsigned comment by Dcking20 (talkcontribs) at 00:07 on 20 July 2020 (UTC)

Recent Undo[edit]

I undid a recent edit here. The book The Nightingales clearly refers to Drayven as a Nightingale thief, and references his use of Nightingale powers. The source used to contradict this did not refer to The Nightingales but Biography of Barenziah.

itchy-rat: are you gonna go more into the lore behind the Nighingales in ESO

ZOS_LawrenceSchick: The Nightingales belong to the Fourth Era, and aren't around at the time of ESO. Sorry!

itchy-rat: but according to the in game books (biography of barenziah) Drayven Indoril is a nightingale, and that is before the fourth era

ZOS_LawrenceSchick: Umm... that's a different kind of nightingale. More of a, shall we say, personal escort.

Regardless of Schick's jokey answer to the question (where he was mostly saying they weren't touching the subject anyway), it was still referring to a different book which appeared before the Nightingale Trinity existed as part of the lore, instead of the one that outright says he was a "Nightingale thief". --AKB Talk Cont Mail 20:26, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
