Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Rumors[edit]
Ask around Tel Mora for rumors to learn that a powerful vampire named Marara has been killing people lately. Find Marara in the Drethan Ancestral Tomb, southwest of Ald Daedroth, to learn more.
The Weary Vampire[edit]
It seems that this vampire has become tired of life (or undeath to be more accurate) which explains her recent murders. In order to end it all, she wishes to be killed by one of her own kind... which would be you.
A useful ring[edit]
At her death, you'll receive the useful Marara's Ring. This quest can only be completed if you are a vampire. However, if you aren't a vampire, you can still kill her to get the ring, but you just miss out on her speech about unlife and the journal entries.

10 | While in Tel Mora, I heard rumors of a powerful vampire living in a tomb nearby. She apparently has grown weary of her unlife, and longs for her own death. She refuses, however, to allow herself to be slain by the hands of any mortal, though many have tried to claim the riches that lie within the tomb.
20 | I have met the vampire Marara. She no longer desires the unlife she has had for many hundreds of years, and wishes to be killed in combat by another of her kind.
30 | I have decided to kill Marara. If she has no wish to continue her life as a vampire, perhaps I can oblige her.
40 | I have decided not to kill Marara. Her death is her own, and I have no wish to take part in it.
100 | I have succeeded in killing the vampire Marara. |
