useful for object placement[edit]

A single gold coin has a uniform shape, is nearly flat, and occupies very little space. There are some objects that are even smaller like the Dwemer coin, but gold does not have any weight, so it allows for carrying an unlimited amount of them.

Why is this useful? Placing a single coin on the ground allows you to precisely control the point at which it exists on the xyz coordinate plane. You can place multiple coins in a pattern on the ground to plan a symmetrical or evenly spaced arrangement until you are ready to start using placeatme (or simple dropping with your cursor, if you are placing carried items)
Once the coin is placed in the exact spot you want, you can then select the coin in console ("Gold_001") and perform a placeatme command to place whatever object with a valid refID that you'd like.
Here are a couple examples of objects that are nice for placement. Bear in mind that the point of origin is often a number of units above in coordinate axis Z, so starting by stacking weightless candles or stacks of coins can help control exactly the right height.
placeatme com_sack_02_pos 1 0 1
placeatme "silver arrow" 1 0 1
placeatme active_de_bedroll 1 0 1
placeatme light_pitfire00 1 0 1
