After the events that took place in the Isle of Vvanderfell thanks to the intervention the Nerevarine, the authorities of the province of Morrowind banned the custom of slave trade. Without other recourse than to change their ways of life drastically, many slavers continued their trade illegally, in a veil of secrecy. This black‐market of slaves has spilled its activities onto the eastern regions of Cyrodiil. Slave traders have set up encampments, headquarters, and supply routes that reach into the marshes of the Blackwood. There they hunt for Argonians, who traditionally used this region as a sanctuary, due to its remote location and humid climate. Slave traders are in no friendly terms with the local authorities, but they will not be aggressive outright to most citizens of the province – provided that they do not belong to one of the races that they seek to enslave! Should one gain favor with the traders, they may be willing to offer their services and goods to even the most unlikely folk.

Dunmer Slavers can be found in several camps around Blackwood:

The slavers are led by Chief Derahed Faylu and Chief Vandral Lerys and come in the following varieties:

  • Slave Trader Chief Guard: There are two types of guards: those who watch over the slaves, and those simply act as guards. The first kind are only encountered near the slave pens; they wear heavy armor (a mix of eboron armor and other types) and are armed with a random blunt weapon. They usually wear some jewelry and carry food, a change of clothes, potions, as well as a key to the pens. They range from L16 to L24 (PC +7). The second kind are similarly outfitted, though they have no jewelry, and range from L8 to L19 (PC +6).
  • Slave Trader Hunter: Hunters are the ones who go out searching for new slaves; as such, they need to be mobile, so they wear light armor and are armed with a random bow and blade. They carry a few random items and some lockpicks. They range from L6 to L16 (PC -4 to +4).
  • Slave Trader Leader: Leaders are, obviously, the toughest slavers besides the chiefs. As with guards, they wear an assortment of heavy armor and are armed with random blunt weapons. They carry food, clothing, repair hammers, jewelry, and gold. They range from L16 to L24 (PC +5 to PC +8).
  • Slave Trader Thug: Thugs are the weakest of the slavers (though they can still give a low-to-mid level PC a good fight); they serve as camp guards and defenders. They wear random heavy armor and are armed with random blunt weapons, and carry some random items and repair hammers. They range from L8 to L19 (PC -6 to PC -3).
