Activities/Mortality[edit]

It should probably be mentioned that he leaves his horse on the bridge outside Bravil while in town, and that he will eventually be killed by higher-level monsters outside Anutwyll. 202.7.176.138 05:05, 30 August 2008 (EDT)

Weird Schedule[edit]

This guy has some of the weirdest and most difficult-to-interprete AI packages I've ever seen. From what I gather he has some random variables (50 and 25%) of talking to either Ardaline or Delphine Jend; and if he can't do this he'll wander around the guild building. However this package clashes with the one that is supposed to make him explore the first level of Anutwyll. This second package also clashes with his lunch package at Silverhome on Water. He then has two dinner packages: one outside Anutwyll and one in Silverhome; and two sleeping packages: one in the campsite and one where only 'Editor Location' is given, so I'm assuming the first one gets precedence. Also, he's got some more wander and travel and explore packages that seem to be up 'GlobalValue Game Day' values. As a matter of fact, many of his packages are influenced by these values... Any clarifications? --SerCenKing 17:39, 9 March 2009 (EDT)

Sounds intriguing! I found him at the guild at watched him for a whole day - and it actually seems like he won't talk to anybody but Ardaline or Delphine, like he's glued to them. And it was like, at 4pm, he suddenly talked to Jend more than Ardaline and talked more to Ardalina between 2pm and 4pm. Not that its impotant for the schedule, but its noteworthy nevertheless. I'll keep following him and maybe we can solve this thing together. Btw, I followed him on a tirdas, and he went on the Silverhome for both lunch and dinner, at 12pm and 8pm respectively - and stayed there for two hours both times. Krusty 22:41, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
Okay, this is a bit weird. I have nailed his schedule during the weekdays, and its pretty normal. However, things get tricky when he's taking a trip to Anutwyll. At midnight between Fridas and Loredas (12am) he leaves his house and leaves town. He rides his slow Bay horse toward Anutwyll and then something strange happened. The horse seemed to stop too early, making it impossible for Carandial to get to the camp. He just wandered a bit, then returned to the horse, waited a couple of hours, went back up on the horse, rode a bit longer, ect ect... I loaded once again, and this time the horse took him to the right spot and he made it to camp. But now it's getting spooky: After wandering around camp until 8am, he went down to Anutwyll, but as I entered, my PS3 crashed. Reload, tried one more time, chrashed again. Tried to run "ahead" of him into the ruin, crash again. But i found an autosave inside Anutwyll from one of my attempts, and this time it loaded perfectly. Only problem: The time inside Anutwyll was 3am!!! Crandial was nowhere to be seen, and as I exited the ruin, he stood in the camp. This means, the game took me back 5 hours - because I tried to follow him! Im still testing this, but please everybody - try turning your game on, and do the same as me. I could be a very serious bug... Krusty 11:08, 10 March 2009 (EDT)
Found a workaround to get in there with him. Enter Anutwyll before 8am and wait for him inside. Still, this strange phenomenon should be further checked. Krusty 11:29, 10 March 2009 (EDT)
The crash thing didn't seem to be a problem on Sundas. Krusty 13:29, 10 March 2009 (EDT)
Okay, I posted my checked schedule on his page - and here's a few thought about what could case the strange behaviour. It seems like he is drawn to his Bay Horse during the weekend trip, and that it overrides a lot of things - eating, sleeping in the camp ect ect. He actually RIDES around the campsite all night long - which means my own schedule is merely incorrect at this point. He also have a bad habit of freezin up inside the Silverhome, if you're there with him. You have to exit and enter again to bring him back in motion. But all in all, I blame his horse for weird behaviour - maybe it shows in the CS? Krusty 14:24, 10 March 2009 (EDT)
And when I triple-checked it, the crash didnt happen on loredas either..Krusty 14:06, 10 March 2009 (EDT)
I'm having a strange thing happen. I wandered in to Anutwyll one day. It just happened to be on Sundas the 16th. I forget what month is was, but I don't think that's important. I went about exploring the ruins and found him dead deep inside with a Troll standing over his corpse. Wondering if I could somehow save him, I loaded the autosave from when I entered the ruins and tried to wait 24 hours to see if he would come out or his horse would disappear. I tried to wait, and my game froze. I killed the process via Task manager (playing on PC, obviously.), loaded it up, and tried to wait a second time with the same results. Again I killed the process and reloaded. For a third time I tried to wait. For a third time my game froze. I am running Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, which is certainly why he died so early in the game as it makes the world leveling with you not quite so obvious and makes things a bit harder. I thought that there was something wrong with my mods that was causing this crash, but after reading the crashes related to this character in this discussion, I am lead to believe that it is actually a bug in the game itself. It should also be noted that when I traveled away from the ruins and waited for 24 hours, my game did not freeze. The freeze is definitely associated with Carandial or the ruins themselves.--Mole126 22:07, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Moved note[edit]

  • He has a bad habit of parking his horse in the middle of the bridge leading to Bravil. Although it can obstruct the way, you will know for sure that he is in town.

For one, it shouldnt be a note if it is a "Bug fixed by a patch". And second, it is too impersonal/opinionated, and would need to be readded in a different form.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the phrasing of that. How would you reword it? rpeh •TCE 18:21, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Eh, just the phrase "you will know for sure that he is in town". I mean, he is in town most of time, and it just doesnt feel like a bug to me. I can see where people wont have a problem, so I wont complain if it gets readded in its current form.--Catmaniac66 18:25, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
