Quest-Related Events[edit]
Berjo used to be Isobel's second in the tourney, but has chosen to join Aspirant Langly LeTarte after being promised to be made a squire. He will be encountered trying to clear the log that blocked the path to the Oldstone Woods.
- Aspirant Langley: "Oh ho! Madam Veloise, you're too late. I'm here first. You cannot pass through."
- Berjo: "Uh. I guess. What he said. Sorry Isobel."
- Aspirant Langley: "Hurry up, will you lad? I'll need sustenance forthwith, and you don't have much time to make me a meal!"
- Isobel Veloise: "Second, over here. Let's talk."
You can speak to him before Isobel:
- "Tell Lady Isobel that I hope there's no hard feelings. Sir Langley promised to take me on as his squire after he becomes a knight."
- She asked me to help her in the tourney.
- "I'm glad you're helping her out. She's a nice lady and I felt bad leaving her in the lurch.
But Langley was very persuasive, and I really have to become a squire. So…." - You didn't want to be Isobel's squire?
- "I did! But just look at Langley. He already acts like a knight. When he joins the Order of the Iron Knot, he'll be the most knightly…uh, knight…in the order!
My father was very clear, no excuses. So here I am. Chopping this tree."
After speaking to Isobel and before you move out, he will say one of the following:
- "Sir Langley sure eats a lot. More than half our gear is food!"
- "Langley says that chopping wood will build up muscle. That way I can wield a broadsword!"
- "Langley assured me I'll get my knighthood faster working for him. I hope he's right."
Berjo will be at the knighting ceremony of Isobel and after she is knighted:
- "I'm honestly not sure if I am cut out for the life of a knight."
