- Dive: Command a cliff racer to dive bomb an enemy, dealing [5533 / 5593 / 5654 / 5715] Magic Damage. If you are more than 7 meters away from the target, you set them Off Balance for 7 seconds.
- Cutting Dive: Cost: 2295 Stamina.
Command a cliff racer to dive bomb an enemy, dealing 5716 Bleed Damage immediately and then causing them to bleed for [5715 / 5786 / 5829 / 5895] Bleed Damage over 10 seconds. If you are more than 7 meters away from the target, you set them Off Balance for 7 seconds. - Screaming Cliff Racer: Command a cliff racer to dive bomb an enemy, dealing [5716 / 5779 / 5842 / 5904] Magic Damage. If you are more than 7 meters away from the target, you set them Off Balance for 7 seconds. After dealing damage you increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 100 for 10 seconds, which quadruples after damaging Off Balance enemies.
Dive summons a Cliff Racer to attack your enemies. This takes the form of a single Magic Damage strike against one target and setting the target Off Balance if attacking from range. (The Cliff Racer disappears immediately after it strikes.) The Cutting Dive morph changes this to Bleed Damage, the cost to Stamina and applies a Bleed Damage over Time, while Screaming Cliff Racer increases Weapon and Spell Damage that's quadrupled when the target is Off Balance.
Notes[edit]
- Screaming Cliff Racer is a recommended morph for the Warden Initiate and Beast Caller builds, while Cutting Dive is recommended for Savage Stalker.
Patch Notes[edit]
- Fixed an issue where weapon swapping after casting this ability and its morphs would cause the enemy's health to not update based on the damage they took.
- Cutting Dive: This morph can now be cast while you are silenced.
- The damage from this ability and its morphs can now be dodged.
- Screaming Cliff Racer: Increased the travel speed of the Cliff Racer by approximately 33% to make up for the fact that it can be dodged.
- Screaming Cliff Racer (morph): Fixed an issue where casting this ability would not orient your character to face the target.
- Cutting Dive: This morph now also reduces the cost as a morph effect.
- Screaming Cliff Racer: This morph no longer has a minimum range requirement to obtain part of the 15% damage done bonus. Every meter you are away from the target adds 1% damage done, up to a maximum of 15%.
- Developer Comment: We wanted to maintain the feel of getting more effect from being further away from the target, while supporting key damaging skills that require closer distance such as Wall of Elements.
- This ability has received new functionality to help it stand alone as a spammable, but has received some reductions to the base functionality that were in place to make up for the fact that it lacked any gameplay altering effects.
- Reduced the damage of these abilities by 10%, and increased their base cost to 2700 from 2430.
- If you are at least 7 meters from the target upon dealing damage with these abilities, you now set them Off Balance.
- Cutting Dive (morph):
- This morph no longer reduces the cost of the ability beyond the standard Stamina cost reduction. It now applies a Bleed to the target for 7 seconds if they are Off Balance, which can stack up to 7 times.
- The following abilities will now deal purely Bleed Damage rather than Physical Damage or a mix of Physical and Bleed Damage.
- Bloodthirst (morph of Flurry)
- Carve (morph of Cleave)
- Cutting Dive (morph of Dive)
- Pounce and morphs
- Trap Beast and morphs
- Twin Slashes and morphs
- The Damage over Time effects listed below will now contiguously update their damage based on your stats each tick, rather than following the standard of snap shotting their stats on application. This should fix a few issues where they were not inheriting traits, such as Bloodthirsty, or other changes in stats like Flawless Dawnbreaker.
- Arms of Relequen
- Cutting Dive
- Fixed an issue where the following Damage over Time abilities were being calculated as damage done bonuses rather than base ability effectiveness per stack, fixing an issue where their stacked damage was much lower than intended:
- Arms of Relequen (normal and perfected)
- Cutting Dive
- Cutting Dive (morph): This morph now applies a Bleed on targets for 10 seconds if they are not off-balance, rather than a stacking bleed on targets for 7 seconds if they were already off-balance.
- Screaming Cliff Racer (morph): This morph now increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 100 for 10 seconds after hitting an enemy and increases by an additional 300 when hitting an Off Balance enemy, rather than increasing its damage by up to 15% based on your distance from the enemy. The bonus Weapon and Spell Damage is tracked separately so you do not need to worry about losing the bonus when hitting an enemy that is no longer Off Balance.
- Developer Comment: We're going back and adjusting the morph distinction of these abilities by helping them focus on different areas where we feel the Warden can struggle. Cutting Dive's bleed is now much easier to maintain but will produce less damage as it no longer requires as intense of requirements to upkeep, while Screaming Cliff Racer will help increase your overall damage by more, rather than making the attack itself more bursty.
- Cutting Dive (morph): This morph no longer requires the enemy to not be Off Balance for the Damage over Time to apply, and will now apply any time it deals damage.
