Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Speak to Maj al-Ragath to get the details of this quest.
- What's the pledge today?
- "The Banished Cells! High Kinlord Rilis has only grown more cunning and dangerous since the Keepers split his soul.
If they can't contain him, someone's got to put him down for good. Someone like you." - And if I can handle more?
- "The ancient unkillable Kinlord isn't enough for you? I knew I liked you. Rilis is known to summon great daedroth to serve him. Don't let him distract you.
Destroy the Kinlord without even bothering to destroy those lackeys." - I pledge to explore the Banished Cells and return Undaunted.
Once you have accepted the quest, you can enter the Banished Cells II dungeon either by accessing the dungeon through the Dungeon Finder, or heading to Auridon and entering the dungeon there with a group. You have the choice of entering the normal dungeon or the veteran version, this choice will affect if you can achieve the optional step and your rewards.
When inside the dungeon, you will need to progress through the dungeon, slaying the following bosses, the Maw of the Infernal, Keeper Imiril and High Kinlord Rilis. With the last boss, if you are in the veteran dungeon, you have the option of completing the optional task of defeating Rilis while three Daedroth are still alive.
Once you have completed the task, you can return to Maj al-Ragath at any of the Undaunted Enclaves, and speak with her to complete the quest:
- "The old Elf didn't give you too much trouble, did he? You'd never live it down."
- Rilis is dead. Again.
- "Hopefully he'll have the decency to stay dead this time. If not, the Undaunted will be happy to give him another thrashing. Right?"
- If it's worth the effort. What have I earned today? / What have I earned for smiting the Kinlord?

Veteran mode completed | "Wiping a thousand years of smugness off the Kinlord's face in front of his servants is reward in its own right, but I've got something more tangible for you. Take this and claim your prize! Tomorrow we'll find a way to make good use of it!" |
Veteran Hard Mode completed | "Take your key and your cut, my friend. Only the Undaunted can truly appreciate all you do. Return tomorrow. We will admire your prowess and skill once again." |

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
