Soriel is a High Elf scholar and member of Tharayya's expedition inside Frostvault. He is accompanied by his Snowstrider Packhorse.

When you first enter the caverns, Soriel will be sitting next to Alareth Spring-Fellow, watching the conversation near the campfire:

"Tempers are running hot by that fire. This cold is preferable."

After you agree to help Tharayya's expedition:

"It's gone quiet. Does that mean we're finally moving on? I can't feel my ears."

Once Icestaker is shattered, Tharayya will motion for everyone to head into the Dwemer ruins:

Tharayya: "That seemed to scare them off for now. Quick, get inside!"

Landal Gevont: "Wait. Aren't these places usually trapped?"

Soriel: "I hope so. What I wouldn't give for a nice warm steam trap right now."

If you talk to then, he'll say:

"If they expect me to go back for our supplies by myself, forget it."

After you are assigned to retrieve the Dwarven Delver parts:

"Imagine what this monstrosity must have been capable of when it was fully functional. Horrifying."

After retrieving the Wrathstone:

"So, that's the Wrathstone. I was expecting something more grand, but I'm too cold to be disappointed."
