Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

The Evergrowth

While traveling near Stonelore Grove on the western side of High Isle, you may encounter Druid Audrine warning you about corruption in the nearby area causing animals to become dangerous. After a few questions about the nature of the corruption, you can offer to aid her in cleansing the corruption, which she will happily accept. She will then join you as you travel around the outskirts of the grove, quickly cleansing the corruption after getting close to a spot of corruption. She will ask that you destroy everything she cleanses to burn out the impurity. Once you have done this for three different locations, she will be possessed by the Evergrowth, the spirit of the grove. The spirit will inform you two that another druid is responsible for the corruption, before releasing her hold on Audrine. Audrine will take a moment to recover from this experience, before telling you more about the Evergrowth. She will then decide to approach the circle elders with this information.

The circle elders, Archdruid Agathie, Elder Karic, and Elder Warrane will be very surprised at this news, and reject the Evergrowth's own message without you providing more evidence. Druid Audrine will commit to doing just this, and begin searching throughout town. Druid Coletta will testify that she noticed the local animals are suffering from an affliction, which the Archdruid promised to look into. Audrine will note this contradicts that the Archdruid acted like she had just heard about the corruption for the first time earlier, but this contradicts that. Druid Mylo will also mention the animals have become dangerous, and claim that he felt a disturbance from the Undergrove at the start of this. The Undergrove is connected to the Evergrowth, and only the Archdruid can give someone permission to access it. Audrine will further note only the Archdruid ever goes down there at all. You will then find a written Evergrowth Restoration Ritual. A typo in the document caused the ritual to remove the spirit's binding, instead of restoring them. Audrine will note this is definite proof a druid is responsible. Lastly, you will find a corrupted fetish giving off the same imbued with the corruption. Audrine decides to present this evidence to Archdruid Agathie, only to find her actively spreading the corruption.

Agathie will claim she is being controlled by the Allwither, a part of the Evergrowth. Agathie will teleport away and the Evergrowth will possess Audrine again. She will explain that the Allwither is part of it, explaining it is both life and death, growth and decay. The Evergrowth will also tell you that the Allwither tricked Agathie, and that this issue can still be corrected. Once the Evergrowth releases Audrine, she will decide to warn the remaining elders.

The Final Ward

This time, the Evergrowth will take control of Audrine in front of the elders, claiming that by unbinding it the Evergrowth can stop the Allwither before it consumes the entire grove. The elders will approve the mission, and you will head into the Undergrove to undo the wards with Audrine.

Just like before, Audrine will cleanse each ward you find in the Undergrove before asking you to destroy it. A few corrupted animals and druids will attempt to stop you, but they should not pose much of a threat. As you destroy the wards, the Allwither will threaten you through Agathie, claiming that it will not stop at just the grove and kill all of the land. After breaking four wards, the path to the central chamber will open, leading you to the final ward protected by Archdruid Agathie personally.

Although you do not have to, you can easily kill Agathie before proceeding to destroy the ward. If you do not kill her, Agathie will be freed from the control of the All Wither. Once the Evergrowth is freed from its bindings, it will claim that balance has been restored, and Audrine will tell you that you should report your success to the elders. The Evergrowth will once again possess Audrine after you return to Stonelore Grove to thank you, and Audrine will give you your reward once she regains control. The elders will offer to make Audrine a circle elder and mediator of the Evergrowth if Agathie was killed, or just a mediator if Agathie was allowed to live.
