The Dreadful Herald is a powerful Mind Terror who can be found at the end of the Dreaming Quarter of Bastion Nymic.

The boss will occasionally skitter around the arena, in a rectangular or square pattern, knocking down and damaging opponents.

The boss can respawn up to four times. When a special Nightmare (it can be distinguished by having a shadowy appearance) is defeated, it will drop a Dark Fissure synergy which allows the player taking the synergy to see and destroy one of Vaermina's Nightmares. Defeating this will reduce the amount of times this boss can respawn by one.

Predator Strike

A powerful physical attack, the Dreadful Herald will disappear and then teleport to a player and strike them down.

Every now and then, the boss will spawn adds, including clannfear, harvesters, and nightmares.

Achievements

There are two Achievements associated with this creature:

Achievement		Points	Description
	Nymic Defier	10	Defeat the Dreadful Herald in Bastion Nymic.
	Bane of Heralds	15	Defeat the Irrefutable Herald, the Dreadful Herald, and the Noxious Herald in Bastion Nymic.
