Matlara

Matlara alive at the road outside of Helgen following the attack

Matlara is a Nord woman living in Helgen and mother to Haming as well as wife to Torolf. She is watching the whole time during the execution. Afterwards, she can be found lying on the floor with her arms crossed in pain when on your way to the keep.

She wears a set of farmer's clothes along with hide boots and hide bracers. She only carries an iron dagger.

When you speak to Haming later on, he will confirm that his mother and father died in the attack.

Bugs

• Sometimes, after Helgen has been destroyed, Matlara can be found wandering around instead of lying wounded on the floor. If Helgen is returned to immediately after escaping the keep, she may appear sitting on the inn's porch or leaning on an invisible rail on a destroyed section of the porch
  • The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.3.3, fixes this bug.
