Valie

Valie was a High Elf thief hired by Sulla Trebatius to be part of his ill-fated expedition into Alftand ruins. In Sulla's expedition manifest, he mentions hiring her specifically because she was a mage not associated with the College of Winterhold. According to J'zhar's journal, the expedition group suspected that his brother J'darr caused Valie's disappearance, though he believed otherwise. Her corpse can be found within the Animonculory zone of the ruin in the main Falmer campsite, on the torture table in the bottom room. Sadly, it seems she died after being captured and tortured by the Falmer residing there.

Valie can be found wearing some ragged robes with matching boots.

Notes

• Valie was likely created with Niranye as a base, as she still retains some of the latter's AI packages and factions. This also results in a number of oddities, as seen below.
  • At some point, the Unofficial Patch also removed the AI packages from her package list, although this isn't noted in the changelog.

Bugs

• She's part of the Windhelm faction, despite never being found there. Her inclusion could lead to her being eligible to fill an alias in Blood on the Ice.
  • The Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, version 2.0.1, addresses this issue. She's been removed from the faction.
• Due to the fact that she's part of the Eastmarch crime faction, should you resurrect and re-kill her, then you could theoretically receive a bounty in that hold.
  • The Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, version 3.0.6, addresses this issue. She has been removed from the Eastmarch crime faction.
