Special Effect[edit]

If you put on the Ring of Disrobing, it removes your armor/torso slot item while it takes up the ring slot. Subsequently, removing or replacing the Ring of Disrobing does not return the original item to its slot. Crazy? Yes, but Theron is a devote follower of Sheogorath, so it's not unexpected. The ring can be kept in a container of curiosities in a home you might own, or sold for gold without fear of repercussions.

If it could be disenchanted and applied to a weapon, it might be useful. Since that cannot be done, I have a real problem dreaming up any actual use for it. Kalevala (talk) 23:40, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

(you can pickpocket it onto a follower and equip it, which will make them naked. It should probably be renamed the "Ring of Undress Serana")

(A Potential use)[edit]

After much consideration I believe I have found an actual use for the ring, this involves giving NPCs better armor when they are not followers. Because although NPCs will not wear armor that is not their own when they are not a follower. The primary use I can think of for this is for improving the survivability of spouses the process is listed below.

Ask the NPC to follow you Trade with them and give them the ring Tell them it is time to part ways As they have not been regenerated they will not yet put their armor back on Pickpocket the armor Improve the armor at a blacksmith Pickpocket the armor back onto them Ask the NPC to follow you again Take the ring back Now even after they are not a follower since the armor is their original armor just improved they will continue to wear it

Final note, I have only done minimal testing of this and I am not completely sure it works the way I hope it does. That said in the testing I have done I have not run into any problems. MagmaCode (talk) 06:13, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
