Ugor's Death[edit]
For me, Ugor had apparently been killed in a fight (presumably with giants) along with two or three nameless Orcs before I even met her, which was a bit confusing as the very first person I met in Largashbur talked about her as if she were still alive... and also annoying, because I see that she is a potential follower. I've not checked if this breaks any of the Largashbur quests, but I suspect it might. 124.170.15.129 18:58, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't, as far as I know. I had the same thing happen last night. As far as I know, the only quest in Largashbur is The Cursed Tribe, which is the Malacath Daedric quest, and it works fine without Ugor. --QuillanTalk 19:08, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- I have Ugor as a follower. She doesn't have anything to do with the quest to remove Malacath's curse, other than to reluctantly lead you to the front gate and inside, where you can talk to the quest-giver (and the other quest-participant.) After the quest is over you can click on "Follow me. I need your help" and she will, even though she wasn't directly involved in the quest.

- It seems to be quite common to find Ugor dead on the ground having already been slain by the giant along with one or two additional (but unnamed) orcs. Even if Ugor is already dead, after slaying the giant, Atub will apologize for Ugor's harsh words and then give the Cursed Tribe quest. When this occurred to me, the main gate to Largashbur was already open so the only "problem" was that there was some odd dialog. Ugor is one of three followers that can be recruited from Largashbur once the Cursed Tribe quest is complete. Kastagir 15:57, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah I've found that completely avoiding the area until level 20+ seems to make it more likely for her to be alive when you get to the stronghold. Since she is leveled based on your level when you enter the cell she'll be so weak otherwise that the Giant 1hits her. At level 25 or so she's much less likely to be killed before you can join the fight, though you still do not want to leave her to take on the giant solo. Lord Eydvar 21:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've found that even at higher levels, if you've been anywhere remotely near the region (close enough for the stronghold icon to appear on your compass), Ugor will still be killed by the giant before you can get close enough to help. I've tried using the setessential command to prevent her death, but this setting doesn't seem to stick since 1.3.10. One workaround I have found to work is to use the command 'player.moveto 19e1b' which transports you to the stronghold. Upon arriving, the scripted event plays out as it seems to have been intended to do: Ugor is still on the wall and she runs down to open the gate and attack the approaching giant. This gives you plenty of time to kill the giant, after which she delivers her supposed "harsh words," making the quest make a lot more sense. This seems to be related to game settings such as actor distance being at maximum.Kastagir 18:07, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- It is very difficult to keep her alive in normal play. The scripted battle between her and the giant seems to start when you are quite a long distance from the stronghold, you pretty much have to race to the stronghold from the road in order to even have a chance to see her die most times. I've never had a problem with getting into Largashbur, presumably because Ugor opens it while racing out to attack the giant. --Morrolan (talk) 18:21, 24 January 2013 (GMT)

The Cursed Tribe[edit]
I killed atub and everyone in the tribe apart from the chief, and I have a huge bounty for Orc strongholds, can I still do this quest? — Unsigned comment by 2.49.23.196 (talk) on v16:41, 1 September 2013
