The Monastery of St. Aralor

The Monastery of St. Aralor is a Roth Roryn monastery located just north of Menaan.

It is dedicated to Saint Aralor the Penitent, a condemned criminal famed for his repentance. Those gathered here are led by the head priest, Dram Marvos, who succinctly describes the purpose of the monastery:

"Those who strive to follow the example set by Saint Aralor come here to join our monastic order. Most of our acolytes are former members of the Camonna Tong. Here they live, work and meditate to earn forgiveness for the evil things they have done. It is not an easy path to take, nor should it be. Without suffering there can be no true repentance. I should know -- I have walked that path myself."

If asked, a number of the laymen here will confess to their criminal pasts, including the former Tong members Llaros, Volem and Ralys, and the knowledgable Aurilyn Glennec, who has a great deal of information on local gangs. The spell merchant Drorayni Omayn can also be found here.

The monastery itself features in the Tribunal Temple quest, Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Forgiveness, as it houses the titular shrine. It also appears in the final quest of the Andothren Thieves Guild line, where you are tasked with tracking down one of the perpetrators of the massacre at the Dusky Alit.
