Detailed Walkthrough

The Shrine of Purging is just to the south of the cave Dadrunibi, which can be found by the road running south from Ranyon-ruhn.

In order to complete the pilgrimage, you must have a Daedra's Heart in your inventory while activating the shrine. Dadrunibi may contain Daedra if you don't already have one, but that isn't guaranteed so it's best to bring one with you.

The quest is complete as soon as you activate the shrine and agree to offer up the heart in Vivec's honor.

The normal message of the shrine is:

"Here Vivec hunted down and slew the last Biter, foul progeny of Molag Bal."

The message when giving an offering is:

"Through Almsivi's merciful vengeance is even the most craven beast made pure."

The blessing gives Fortify Attack 20pts, and Fortify Speed 5pts.
