Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Kassad in Old Ebonheart about a package from Hammerfell.
2. Talk to Hamal in his store about the package and Camsaron.
3. Talk to Camsaron at the Harbor Offices, by the docks.
4. Ask around Gol Mok about a crazy half-naked Dunmer.
5. Obtain the smugglers' location from Duvlas.
6. Kill Baris the Diver in Vesi-Dur Grotto and retrieve Kassad's package.
7. Return the package to Kassad.

Detailed Walkthrough

To begin this quest, find Kassad in his store, at the eastern end of Old Ebonheart. He'll ask you to look into a matter concerning an expected package from Hammerfell. Being too busy to pick it up, he wants you to go in his stead and retrieve it from Hamal's Redguard Goods. This is a store at the western end of the city, next to the East Empire Company building.

Speak to Hamal about the package from Hammerfell. He'll mention that the trader, Camsaron, was meant to deliver the package, but is running late. Asking about Camsaron will reveal that the unfortunate trader may be at the docks, caught up in some Census and Excise bureaucracy.

You'll need to find Camsaron. He's stuck in a queue in the Harbor Offices by the docks. Talking to him reveals that his ship was ambushed by Dunmer smugglers near Gol Mok, with Kassad's package being lost to them. He also makes an intriguing reference to a crazy half-naked Dunmer.

Your next stop is Gol Mok - a backwater village situated upon the estuary islands of the Thirr River. There is no fast traveling here, so you'll need instead to travel northwest of Old Ebonheart, island hopping on the way. Once there, make enquiries about the crazy half-naked Dunmer. Asking enough of the locals will ultimately provoke one of them, Duvlas, into confronting you. She'll warn you to keep your nose out of this particular business, and if pressed, will enter combat. You can either kill her and search her body for clues or weaken her to the point where she surrenders and talks. Alternatively, you can back down, and then pickpocket a note from her pockets. However you approach this, you'll be directed to Vesi-Dur grotto. The entrance to this lies on the island immediately east of the village.

Once inside the grotto, you'll need to deal with its occupants - with the second, Baris the Diver, carrying the package you need. He is deep underwater however, and will not drown there - so a means of Water Breathing while you fight will prove very handy. Package in hand, return to Kassad in Old Ebonheart for your reward.

It appears that the smugglers are quite sloppy and sometimes they leave their rowboat just outside their hideout.
50		I found the package bearing Kassad's name.
