Dialogue[edit]
- Greetings:
- "Is this about the East Empire Company? I'm a very important woman, you know, and I've no time for anything but Company business. Are you here for an assignment or a promotion?"
- "Are you here for an assignment, %PCName, or just more idle chatter?"
- assignment:
- "I can't talk about business with someone who's not a member. Maybe you want to join the East Empire Company?"
- "I have nothing at your level. Why don't you go downstairs and ask Quilmaro if he needs help?"
- "You have been fired from the East Empire Company. We may re-hire you if you're willing to pay the price, quite literally. Until then, I can't talk about your assignments."
East Empire Company: Paper Trail[edit]
- Briricca report:
- "That sounds like Quilmaro work. Absolutely none of my concern."
If you have Quilmaro's Briricca Report:
- "Kindly escort that away from my desk. With respect, my deputy can handle it."
If Disposition is at least 50 and you have Quilmaro's Briricca Report:
- "What? Quilmaro really wanted me to look at this? Well, I guess I can." (Removed Quilmaro's Briricca Report from your inventory)
- [Let Aetia look over the report.]:
- "Alright. This is a loan extension request directed to the Briricca Private Bank. Out in the town square, they're two doors left of us. Take this to Phedre Briricca, the branch manager." (You receive the EEC Briricca Report)
- "Delegation, %PCName. That means "not my problem."" (Disposition down by 5)
East Empire Company: Buying Time[edit]
- shipping delays:
- "I do believe word of this has reached my ears. I'm sure you're the right %PCRank for the job."
East Empire Company: Talking Shop[edit]
- close a deal:
- "Bartering with hackle-lo? So they're going native downstairs. Great."
East Empire Company: Follow the Money[edit]
- "It's the staff officer's job to answer questions like that. Ask Quilmaro."
- Marki's work:
If Disposition is at least 80:
- "%PCRank, management is about getting credit without the blame. Here's how it works: If this thing goes bad, it's your fault, I had nothing to do with it, and I just wish I'd been informed sooner. If you can keep it under wraps, keep it profitable, and make sure this all blows over, the board will hear it was my idea all along and give me a generous promotion -- and I'll give you a cookie for your trouble."
East Empire Company: Bank Run[edit]
- Briricca update:
If Disposition is at least 70:
- "One day, entrepreneurs like you and me won't be beholden to the whims of dusty old noble families in our ventures. Briricca, Vendicci, Hlaalu, Mondette... If we need an investment, we will visit a bank run by private capitalists hoping to make an honest profit, not some hand-picked cronies of the aristocracy. Yes, they're all playing on the same team. But for now, we play along."
East Empire Company: Art of the Deal[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Talk to any bandits lately, %PCRank? Anyone who'd ask us for a five-thousand-drake ransom?"
- five-thousand-drake ransom:
- "See this strange little note that's just slid across my desk. Go ahead, keep it. Someone wants 5000 drakes for two of our merchants, and he wants YOU to deliver it. Now, I'm told you can be trusted not to just run off with the gold, but we can't spare that much, so take 2000 and figure it out." (You receive the EEC Ransom Note and 2000 gold)
- "Go over wherever this is, find out what's going on, and sort things out."
- "So neither of these hostages was actually an employee of the East Empire Company? Well, I already wrote off all that gold as a Company expense. Just make sure this thing doesn't come back to haunt us."
East Empire Company: Letter of the Law[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Have you settled things with that excise agent at the docks yet?"
- assignment:
- "I need someone to talk some sense into an excise agent."
- excise agent:
- "You seem like the type who can handle some very important business. Not really, of course; I'm just being nice. Did I say that out loud? Never mind. Down by the docks, there's an excise agent giving merchants a hard time. Not anyone I would care about normally, but this excise agent is new to the city, and we can't have him hassling every fishmonger for five drakes every time they set foot in Old Ebonheart. See if you can talk some sense into him."
- "There's a certain agent down by the docks giving some local merchants some trouble. See if you can clear this up."
If Navil Drolnor paid the fee:
- "Good work. I knew I could count on you. Believe me, I did. Take some extra gold for your trouble. That merchant is worth more to this city than you could ever know. Because of his eggs, of course. He plays a vital role with his eggs. Ready for your next assignment?" (You receive 100 gold)
- "Well done, %PCRank. Are you ready for your next assignment?"
If Navil Drolnor didn't pay the fee:
- "Another merchant lost to the incompetence of my staff. Next time, just make up a number. Something much lower. I can't punish you for telling the truth, but I can't reward you either. Just tell me when you're ready for your next assignment. In theory, you can't mess this one up."
If you found the Ornate Dwemer Goblet in the kwama eggs:
- "What in Azura's name happened down there? I know smuggling Dwemer artifacts is illegal, but it's a shame a merchant was turned away for a simple misunderstanding. I'm sure someone was playing a prank on him by hiding goblets in eggs. You know how mainlanders are. No matter, it's time for your next assignment."
- "Don't remind me."
If you have been expelled from the East Empire Company:
- "Get yourself re-hired before we discuss this."
East Empire Company: Writ for Counterfeit[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Have you dealt with those counterfeiters yet?"
- assignment:
- "I need someone to investigate some counterfeiters."
- counterfeiters:
- "I've heard rumors that a group of counterfeiters are making fake septims and distributing them throughout the city. Who knows how many of our agents have been tricked by these crooks? They're supposedly in the western sewers of Old Ebonheart. Crawl down a well in town to get there fast. If you find them, don't even try to speak with them. Just kill them. You can't trust the words of criminals like them. Also, bring me back one of the fake coins; I want to see how accurate they are."
- "They're in the sewers here in Old Ebonheart. Please silence them before countless fake septims are flowing through our hands."
If you let the counterfeiters go:
- "I heard the counterfeiters mysteriously disappeared, and no bodies were found. You must have warned them. Do not collude with criminals, %PCRank. It looks poorly on us all. I won't be paying you for this. Let me know if you'd like to bungle another assignment."
- "Yes, I'm sure the three of you are great friends now. Don't remind me how you let them get away."
If you killed the counterfeiters:
- "I heard the bodies of some thieves were found floating in the sewers. I can only assume that was your doing. But I still need a copy of one of the coins they were making."
- "I heard the bodies of some thieves were found floating in the sewers. I assume that was your doing. Let me see one of those coins they were making. A Dwemer coin? I swear they were told septims. Some mild imperfections in the casting process, but overall accurate. Not many know what Dwemer coins look like, so any abnormalities wouldn't be caught. Whoever came up with that plan is a genius. I'll be keeping this one for, ahem, research purposes. Here's some real gold in return. Ready for another assignment?" (Removed Fake Dwemer Coin from your inventory, and you receive 500 gold)
- "Great work with those counterfeiters. Less scum in the sewers, less fake currency on the streets."
If you have been expelled from the East Empire Company:
- "This is a highly sensitive matter. I am most certainly not discussing it with an ex-employee."
East Empire Company: Basement Declaration[edit]
- Greetings:
- "Have you returned my borrowed scroll yet?"
After she has been arrested:
- "I have nothing left to say." Goodbye
- assignment:
- "I need you to return a borrowed scroll to someone's basement."
- "Have you done as I asked? You need to place the borrowed scroll in the unique chest in Merxia's basement. I can't get you in, you'll have to figure that out yourself."
- borrowed scroll:
- "That someone is Merxia Vendicci. Don't worry about who she is for now, but know that she's very important around here. I borrowed a scroll from her the other week and forgot to return it, silly me! I need you to sneak back in and put it back like it was never gone. It should go in an ornate chest in her basement. I can't get you in there, you'll have to figure that out yourself. Also, don't touch anything. Make it look like you were never there."
- "Have you done as I asked? You need to place the borrowed scroll in the unique chest in Merxia's basement. I can't get you in; you'll have to figure that out yourself. And don't mess around with anything else down there. I need this done soon, %PCRank."
If you have been expelled from the East Empire Company:
- "Get re-hired before we talk about this."
